Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Sawbuck Software LLC (“Sawbuck,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit www.sawbuck-software.com, enroll in or use our SaaS products, or communicate with us by email or SMS.
1. Who we are
Sawbuck Software LLC is a Nevada limited-liability company. Contact: Dusty@sawbuck-software.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account and enrollment data — name, company name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed), billing-related identifiers, and subscription details.
- Authentication data — login credentials and two-factor authentication (2FA) challenges sent by email or SMS.
- Product usage data — records you create in our applications, feature usage, and technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.
- Payment data — payment card and billing details are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Usage and billing data — metered sync activity (write operations that update records in our systems) recorded in product databases and summarized for subscription billing.
- Website data — IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and similar analytics or security signals.
- Communications — messages you send us, and SMS/email delivery metadata related to service messages.
3. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve our websites and SaaS products.
- Create and manage accounts, subscriptions, and billing.
- Authenticate users and send 2FA / security codes by email or SMS.
- Send transactional messages (receipts, account notices, security alerts, support replies).
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share SMS opt-in consent or mobile phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional use.
4. SMS and phone numbers
If you provide a phone number for account security or product features, we may send SMS messages such as one-time verification codes, security alerts, and other service-related notices you request or that are required to operate your account. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS. Reply HELP for help. Opting out of SMS may limit your ability to complete 2FA or receive SMS-based security notices.
5. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the business, including with:
- Service providers (subprocessors) — see the list below.
- Professional advisors — lawyers, accountants, or insurers when reasonably necessary.
- Legal / safety — when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
Our current subprocessors and what they do for Sawbuck include:
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing and billing instruments for enrollments and subscriptions.
- Railway Corp. — hosting for production product APIs, web applications, and databases.
- Vercel Inc. — hosting for our marketing website and demo environments.
- Email and SMS delivery providers — transactional email and text messages (for example 2FA codes and account notices) on our instructions.
- Google Fonts — font delivery when you load our public pages (may receive IP address and browser metadata).
We may add or change subprocessors as our stack evolves. Material changes will be reflected in an updated version of this policy. Our Terms of Service also describe third-party services integrated with the products.
6. Retention
We retain account, billing, and product data for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, dispute resolution, security, and legal compliance. You may request deletion of account data subject to legal and operational limits.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Your choices and rights
- Update account profile information in the product where available.
- Opt out of marketing emails using unsubscribe links (transactional/security messages may still be sent).
- Opt out of SMS by replying STOP.
- Request access, correction, or deletion by emailing Dusty@sawbuck-software.com.
Depending on where you live (for example, California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights regarding personal information. To exercise those rights, contact us at the email above.
9. Children
Our services are directed to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies).
10. International users
We are based in the United States. If you access our services from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate.
